Application to Register With No Prior Formalities

I am a national of an EEA member state or Switzerland, I obtained my qualification there and wish to practise the profession of architect permanently.

You must send an application for registration to the council competent for the province in which you are setting up. For the Brussels-Capital Region, you have the option to submit your application for registration to either the provincial council of Flemish Brabant and Brussels (where Dutch is the language of communication) or the provincial council of Walloon Brabant and Brussels (where French is the language of communication).

Documents required

You must produce the following documents:

  1. copy of your diploma;
  2. proof of nationality;
  3. criminal background check;
  4. ethical commitment (Dutch);
  5. proof of professional liability insurance;
  6. relevant professional experience abroad.
